EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
The second Brick Street Jazz Festival takes on a New Orleans flair this year, offering an all-day mix of upbeat jazz, southern food, Mardi Gras-inspired crafts and jazz-themed art. The show is a collaborative effort of the Market Street Development Group, the Minerva Local Schools’ instrumental music and art departments, the 20/20 Vision Minerva task force and the Minerva Band Boosters and is partially funded by ArtsinStark.
Nine bands will supply the dancin’; tunes: the Canton Symphony Orchestra Dixieland trio (noon), Minerva Middle School Jazz Band (1 p.m.), Bob Hill Orchestra (1:30 p.m.), New Orleans Funk Orchestra (2:30 p.m.), Swing Machine Live!
